Redcliffe Dolphins had a very successful 2022 season and has continued to grow in 2023.
Over 300 players returned to register with the club.
Our first girls team were premiers of their division.

MiniRoos

Under 6 to Under 12

MiniRoos focuses on learning sportsmanship, new skills, being active, making life-long friends and most importantly having fun, while playing in friendly and encouraging environment.

Core values of teamwork, cooperation, fair play and respect for others are at the heart of all MiniRoos programs.

 

All RDSC MiniRoos are community players.

Jerseys and Training Shirts are provided for all players.

 

Once registered we will place your player in an age appropriate team.

Training is once a week for approximately 45mins, days and times will be set once teams are put together. Training will begin end of March, early April.

Games held on Saturday mornings one week at home and the following away.  Away games can be up to 30mins travel time. MiniRoos games are not scored and no league tables are kept. No games are played during school holidays.

 

The 18-round season generally begins in April and finishes in September. Specific dates are released each year coordinating with school holidays. 

Age group structure:

Under 6 & 7

6-7 players per team. 

Small fields with 4 players on the field (no goalkeepers).

Games have 15 minute halves;

Under 8 & 9

10-11 players per team.

Roughly quarter field with 7 players on the field, including a goalie.

Games with 20 minute halves;

Under 10 - 12

12-13 players per team.

The field is normally ¾ of full field, with 9 players on field, including a goalie.

Games with 25 minute halves;

 

U9-U12 MiniRoos can be put into 3 levels of Grades

Kangaroos, Wallabies and Quokkas, depending on their level of playing skills.

What is required for the Children: 

Blue Shorts, Blue Socks, Shin pads and Football Boots for all training sessions and games.  Shorts and Socks are available to purchase from the online shop, and second hand boots are available to purchase at the club. All balls and other equipment will be provided by the Club.

Junior/Divisional Football

Under 13's

RDSC teams can be boys, girls and mixed teams. Junior/Divisional focuses further on developing a higher level of skills, it is a great opportunity for players to continue to build on those life long friendships and start to build healthy playing habits. 

 

Under 13s’s will transition to 9v9 small-sided football from 2023. This cohort will still play competitively for points, there will be ladders, premiers and finals. The field is a 2/3 in size. The season generally runs March to September.

 

Training sessions are held twice a week. They will commence in February. Games are held on either Saturday or Sundays.

 

Grading: Teams are nominated depending on the teams overall skill level. To determine the level of the team and the division it will be entered, U13 Metro divisional teams will participate in Football Queensland trials against other teams in the region, this will determine their division for entry into the competitive playing level. These divisional trials are generally in February.

Under 14's to Under 18's

RDSC teams can be boys, girls and mixed teams. Junior/Divisional focuses further on developing a higher level of skills, it is a great opportunity for players to continue to build on those life long friendships and start to build healthy playing habits. 

The season generally runs March to September.

 

This cohort will play competitively for points, there will be ladders, premiers and finals. Teams compete in their division with finals based on the division ladder ranking. Junior football is 11-a-side competition with home and away fixtures on a full sized field.

 

Training sessions are held twice a week, with competitive games for U14 - U16's being held on either Friday nights or Sundays.  Under 18's games are held on either Friday night, Saturday or Sunday.

Senior Men's Competitive Football

U20s, Metro Men U23s & FQPL3

RDSC has a very experienced Senior Men Cohort.

 

FQPL3 & U23s

Our Senior Men are part of a very small group of clubs that have achieved back to back promotions. Winning the 2022 Grand Final and coming Runners-Up in 2021. Our senior FQPL side and Under 23s will continue to play in the FQPL DIV 3 competition in 2024.

They have worked hard to reach FQPL3 with the backing of a great coaching staff and management.

 

The trials for the FQPL squad being in November each year.

Pre-season training for all Senior Men including Metro League will commence 2nd week of January, in readiness the Australian Cup in February.

Training is every Tuesday & Thursday night 6.45pm to 8.30pm

 

Early registration is vital so the club can prepare for these pre-season games.

 

U20’s & Metro Mens 

We will look to enter 1-2 teams.

 

Pre-season training for all Senior Men including Metro League will commence 2nd week of January, in readiness the Australian Cup in February and choose our teams.

 

Training for the Metro Men will be every Wednesday night 7.00pm to 8.30pm. U20s will train is every Tuesday & Thursday night 6.45pm to 8.30pm

Senior Women's Competitive Football

RDSC had a Senior women team for the 2023 season, who will competed in the Women's Metro League, Division 1.

The club is looking for additional players for 2024.  

Pre-season training will commence in February, every Wednesday night 7.00pm to 8.00pm

Over 35 and 45 Men's Football

In 2022 both RDSC Over 35s teams won their Grand Finals. We are extremely proud of what they have achieved.

 

For 2024 we will field an over 35 and 45 men's teams playing in the Mitchelton League on a Friday night. If you are looking for some Friday night and stretch those muscles once again please send us a message and join a team.

Training will commence in February on Wednesday Nights 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
